That sucks that they only got them now. Gail Meagher on Lugnet posted that they were clearing them out at 50% off the price you listed after boxing day in the East.

If you can't make it over to the outlet centre, you can now order it online at www.sears.ca and send it to a location closer to you.

To anyone that was still intrested,Sears still had 17 or so of those cranes in stock.Plus they had the jack stone pirate set,and technic motorcycle 8420 for 48.99 a savings of 20 bucks? The cranes are still $139.99.Wish I could buy one :woo:

I just got back after picking up three sets. I hadn't planned on buying that many but when I got there they were marked down an additional 30%, bringing the price to just under $98.00. How could I possibly resist? I did hold myself back somewhat though in only buying three. :P There were still well over a dozen left, but four people asked me about them on the way to the cash, so who knows how long they'll last...

I also picked up one of the motorcycles. It's a nice kit, though not as versatile as the cranes. Now if they would just offer an extra 30% off on these too... :)

Oh man Brian, you finally gave in and bought new grey did you? It is an amazing set though, I can understand. If anyone goes by again and is able to pick one up for me that would be fantastic. You can pm me to make arrangements.

Don't delay. I got one at 1:20 today, leaving three.
The cashier said it was the fourth one she'd rang through today.
Sorry I didn't see your messages before I went.

Hey, it definitely wasn't for the parts!

Since the colour change, this is the 3rd new set I've purchased. One was to see the new colour first hand (MINI Star Destroyer), and the other two were for display purposes (Maersk Sealand + 8421 Technic Crane).

So I just sorted out my new 8421 and lo and behold, all of the 5-long studless Technic beams were old grey. I think those were the only parts though. It's wierd that a set could have some of each in it. Good thing it's Technic and colour doesn't matter as much. (to me anyways)
