VIP points?how do they work?

Post by Andrew »

I was in the lego store last week ,only wanting to pick up a pab cup, when the manager said it would be double the points that day, additionally their was another 1000 points added to a large modular set that had damage to the box.The Manager had said if you buy a set with damage youd get additional points.
My question I guess is what do the points actually get you ,just money back on your vip account or do they represent something else?I think I made 60 to 70 bucks on my purchase because of the extra points.Of course all this is doing is adding to my addiction of lego.Sheila saw my bank statement today and was not too pleased, rightfully so I guess.

cheers everyone, hope to see you later friday night ,Andrew

When you buy something at the LEGO Store and present your VIP Card, you will earn 1 point for each dollar spent.

*On Double Points Months you will get 2 points for every dollar you spend.

You use the accumulated points to get discounts on future purchases.
Every 100 points you have can be applied as a $5 discount on these purchases.

i.e. If you have 275 points, you can use 200 of them against a future purchase to get $10 off.

The 1000 points being offered to you is equivalent to a $50 discount on some future purchase at the Lego Store.

Make sense?

The greatest thing about redeeming your VIP points is that the store will apply the credit toward the pre-tax total instead of after the tax. That means you save money on taxes as well.

Make sure you don't redeem points on your purchase when they are offering 2x VIP points. Obvious to some, but not so obvious to others!
