I was too. Apparently if you take a photo with the superhero cutout at the store, they give you the poster in person. I thought you had to go through the process of revealing your face to the world on Facebook and they'll send you a poster.

It was an in-store give away last week if you had your picture taken with a marvel/lego stand-up.

Got my poster today. Didn't even have to take a picture, just asked one of the employees. :) Also picked up the Canada keychain for $6(!). Did not have the Cuusoo Minecraft set, but the Sopwith Camel looked amazing.

Hey guys, It's been awhile! xD Mods/Admins if you'd rather see this split off go ahead, just figured the topic fits! xD

So, I need lots of 2x4 Tan bricks, like 6-8 hundred of them, and I noticed on BrickBuildr it shows the Vancouver Stores has them in stock as Jul 17th, anyone know off hand if they're still kicking around?

Also anyone had much interaction with the staff? I'm wondering if they'd sell be up for selling one of the PaB Boxes for the Tan bricks if they have one.

Thanks guys!

I haven't been there in a while so I cant say..
Im sure the LEGO Staff will be happy to take your call and let you know if the 2x4 tan is in ample supply on the PaB wall :)
Also from what I hear, yes you can buy PaB elements by the box as long it's sealed

Hmm, something else I forgot to ask but what are the CAD prices for the PaB stuff?

All I know is that in Seattle the Large Cups were 15$, I never had the chance to get down to the Vancouver store to check. And anyone know about how many bricks would be in the Boxes and how much?

Yeah, I might have to make the pilgrimage over the long weekend, how much of a savings is that and would that apply to the boxes you think?

You have to buy both a large and small cup in order to get 10% off. :? Not sure if the discount would apply to the K-Boxes.

The K-boxes are $70 in the US, so probably $80-100 here?

I might be visiting on Friday, so I'll let you know once I get back.

Yeah, but it's not like I'll pass the chance to use a PaB wall here in Canada if I find myself down there! xD

Interesting, I think I'll still give them a call today(Thurs) cause if I'm going down, I'd rather make the trip Fri night, hopefully getting over the Coquihala before it gets dark, then I could head back Sunday night or something.

Thanks for the info guys, I'll be sure to keep you posted!

I spoke to Belinda (assistant manager) about buying boxes a couple weeks ago.
They will sell buy the box as long as they have enough in stock.
Boxes start at $90 CAD for basic bricks. specialty pieces may cost more.

So.........it ends.up being cheaper to just pack PaB cups when it comes to 2x4s? Assuming you can reach the mythical 169 Bricks per cup? Interesting....

Apparently you get more for your money if you get 90 dollars worth of PAB cups. You just have to have a lot of time and patience. Plus, you can fill the gaps with extra bits. EDIT: This statement is somewhat true for American prices. Not Canadian. :-/

Haven't tried this method, and probably will not.

Good luck with your search!

Did the math last night.

If a box of 2x4 brick comes with 650 bricks at 90$ can + tax = 100.80$
And a pick a PAB cup will contain 169 bricks + filler (tested a cup last night I can easly get 169 bricks+

169 bricks + filler = 19.99 + tax = 22.38

times that by 4 to get to the closes total of bricks that equal the box quantity.
4 cups = 89.55$ after tax. Bricks count = 676 2x4 and what ever extra pieces you fit in there.

So 26 extra 2x4 and extra filler pieces.

Now for corrections. If you take used PAB cups, that's 50cents off each cup. So 2$
and the promo that is going on right now of 10%

89.55 - 2$ is 87.55 - 10% = 78.80$

and if a may quote Marshall Ericson... LAWYERED!

How long did it take you to click 169 bricks together. Multiplied by the number that he's wanting and how much your time is worth.

So was that you that updated the BrickBuildr Page then? ;p Well it turned out my long weekend wasn't as free as I thought it was, so I couldn't make it down, but one of my buddies went down to Van on an unrelated trip, so I might send them in in my and shop the PaB via Phone! xD
