Well we are back and did we have fun! . Congrats to Paul x 2, Daveed, and Shane for their awards. The VLC and Canadians in general did well at the show. Great deals, great free Lego, great new friends, and a boat load of new ideas. I hope every one that went had as much fun as I did and those who were not able to come you were missed.
I would like to ask that those with pictures post a link to their page in this forum so that we can all check them out.
"We're primarily here to inspire people to build themselves," said Wayne Hussey, BrickCon director and Federal Way resident, who showed off a 6-foot-tall Nutcracker made of LEGO® Saturday.
Isn't pretty much anything that's 6 foot tall made out of Lego a possible nutcracker?
So is Best of Show and People's choice pretty much the biggest awards? Well done.
And what was with all the bugs? Like the one that pretty much showed he ownd like 200 giant ants. Or the live bees. The spider with all the grey levers was admittedly cool, but didn't photograph well.
And what an odd comment to end on, "It is wonderful for imagination," Crandall said of his LEGO®."Imagination is what made this country great. Think about Thomas Edison and the light bulb. The Internet age stifles creation because everything is online. You can't play with it, you can't hold it in your hands."
Apparently Thomas Edison played with LEGO® while making the lightbulb but not on the internet.

My avatar is Ninjago's Pythor P Chumsworth. YAY! I finally have him! Thank you.
The guy that built this lives in Coquitlam and is THE MAN when it comes to technic plains. His name is Marius Postma and he won the award in the technic category for this.
Good to hear Canadians were well represented and won . Did you guys get anything good for the reward draft? BTW i signed up for SEALUG's message board and maybe we can talk to them about a joint meeting one of these days.
