Help :)

Post by Pascal »

I'm using LDraw to create this cool train:

I'm having a very tough time trying to figure it out. I can't find the 1 x 2 vertical clip on the locomotive in any set so I'm not sure what piece that is. Also, I'm having a hard time working out the wheels on the locomotive.

Wow this one's tough...

I think the 3rd set of wheels on the engine is built with a 1x1 plate with clip light (4081) facing forwards, a 1x1 plate with clip vertical on top (4085), all topped off with a 1x1 plate. This assembly appears to be attached into the last socket of a 2x6 red plate.

I can't figure out the other wheels on the engine. Maybe a few Brick, modified 1x1 with studs on 2 sides (47905)?

And then the wheels on the tender are also done using two "1x1 plate with clip light" pieces.

Reverse engineering this is hard enough - I can't imagine how tough it is to manipulate the pieces in LDraw!

Hope that helps.
