Hey all,

I want to but an Apple laptop. Nothing fancy as I won't use it for anything but email, MP3s, Other opps little apps and watching DVDs. Perhaps some Photoshopings as well. I don't want to buy new. Maybe a year old or so. I have check the mac stores and been reading Craigslist. Anyone have any other ideas?

I want:
1 Ghz+
512 Ram+ (but I can always add it)
30+ GB Hard drive
DVD Burner and CD drive
Airport (can add it if need be)
Any screen size.

looking to spend $600-900

Hey David,

If you don't have one yet, you can check Mac Station in Abbotsford or Burnaby. They have some 1.2GHZ 12" iBook G4's in at moment.
(full disclaimer - I work at the Abbotsford store, so I should know!)

I did in fact buy one a few weeks ago. I checked out Mac stations here and they had a few older iBooks that were about $100 cheaper than the new models. I asked the salesman why anyone would buy the used ones and he had no answer. for $100 a newer, faster, better machine with waranty would have been the way to go.

What I did buy was a year and half old from someone on craigslist. great machine and only $850.
