We all have the codes anyways. It's all good. Relax a little and enjoy the meeting tonight. Don't stress about bringing everything you have. Bring what you can and yourself and have fun.

I got to say the dot method doesn't work out very well. After looking at the cheat sheet and then at the package and then feeling for the bumps I found myself growing impatient. I opted for the touchy feely method. Feeling my way from the legs, body, head, hair and of the course the accessories. Here''s a link http://www.suite101.com/content/recogni ... ch-a317978.

After opening 12 packages from a box I have 6 unique minifigures so far. I can picture what a club meeting might look like when new minifigures are being distributed. A group of guys sitting around a coffee table groping packages to figure out what was inside before they opened them up. Anyways, hope you guys had fun opening your minifigs at the meeting. Did you guys keep track of what minifig came from which box and how many of each were in a box? or did you just dump them into a bucket and you each pulled one out to open until they were all opened?

We have some self-admitted specialists in the group that can feel the bags. Most of us the group just opened everything up and split it. I had to be difficult and wanted a set in baggies, so they helped out. It'll make it easier for when S3 hits the stores. One mistake (a gorilla) and then we had a rather large pile of mummies and race car drivers, but got it sorted out in the end. Too bad you couldn't have been there.

A little disappointed to find that these boxes still had the 2 fisherman allocation.

When I came home I tried to check out the dot/bump method, but a lot of them had no dots/bumps and some were higher up than others, but had the right fig, since the pattern didn't follow any others.

Hopefully you'll have a line on Series 4 too. They all look great. I'll reserve judgement on Series 5 which some fuzzy pictures just came out of 9 of them.

Thanks again, Beethead!

Feeling and the packs is hard and reading the bumps is really hard! JS and I split a case and after trying to read two or three packs we started tearing them open to divide them.

Sure was fun!

Thanks again beethead for placing the order, and getting to work early to meet up with me yesterday!

I think I got half way through my box before I just snipped a 2" cut at the top of each bag to see what fell out first. My son put them together for me while I kept snipping until I finished all 60. That was 3 hours of fun. I sent him to bed just before 10 PM as I got carried away in all my glory. My daughter of course loves the snowboarder. She doesn't care for the hula girl.

As chump mentioned, only 2 fisherman per box meant only 2 complete sets per box. Too bad as it would of been nice to see 3 complete sets per box. Although he is cool, I don't think the fisherman is the prize of the series. Sure his beard is much cooler than that droopy mess hanging from Santa's chin but the bat and tennis racket adds some new possibilities for play as there really isn't much in the way of sports themes other than soccer and basketball. I see series 4 has more sports themes; a hockey player, figure skater, surfer and skateboarder.

As a side note, if you take the tennis player legs with the rapper torso and samurai head and add a black hair piece it would make a nice Greek aristocrat.

My kids have gone to bed so now I can have some alone time with my minifigs.

Make sure you don't snip a grass skirt or cape!

Yes, they are at Walmart or should I say were at Walmart. They may have some left but they would be well picked. I have not seen them at TRU yet. I have been told that Toy Traders has them.

Just about exactly a week ago. Another thread here indicates they showed up in stores Tues/Wed last week

I went back to the Queensborough Walmart this morning and went through at least 60 packets. I'm fairly certain there wasn't a single Elf or Fisherman in that batch. :S

Last night I tried to go with the dots but I couldn't manage after I got past 10 cause I didn't have a pen or paper to track what I was doing and I didn't have a decent code sheet.

So after learning a few things after opening what I got (dots can be lower or higher than advertised, dots can be very faint), I went back this morning with a proper code sheet, a pen and some experience with feeling out the packets for good measure.

Is there anything left out there? BTW that's the benefit of membership, we have another member forum where New Released are annouced, most while we are still inside the store :)

I seem to have overestimated my dot reading abilities. So now I have two aliens + a 3rd baseball player and no Cyborg.
