Series 3 Minifigs Box of 60, Group Buy?

I would like some of the series three figs! If someone could bring me 28 dollars worth to the meeting that would be great!

JS, if you read back a few posts you will discover that you are sadly too late. We gathered up people who each bought figs in blocks of 20 (since there are 60 to a case) and then bought 3 cases since we had demand for 9 sets. All 9 sets are spoken for, but some people may have rounded up to 20, only really wanting 16, or 32, in which case you might be able to get a few.

I knew we should have ordered an extra case. I was thinking that weeks ago, imagining that more people would show up wanted fig, and thinking that the worst thing that could happen would be that I would end up wit ha few extra sets.

As for getting them, if they are up at UBC on friday, I will go and get them before the meeting. It's not in my line of travel, but I can make the trip for figs!

If the club wants to increase the order by a case that can still be arranged.

Beethead offered to order for everyone and added 1 case (3 sets) for himself.

JS requests some, for about $28 (half-set )
PC is interested in another set.
Radstar would like a set.
I, DG, will guarantee that the third set (or half set) has a home if it needs one)

So I think that is a yes, order 1 more case.

As to the cost, it's approx $2.50 per fig after shipping, possible border taxes, etc. To that is $50 per set.

I think David (Platypus) has placed an add on to the order with beethead. He is the one that placed the order for the club. I don't believe he has been to a meeting yet himself and won't be at the meeting on Friday if I am correct. So if he can then it is possible you will get some.

I haven't seen my statement but I can see on my PayPal account how much I was charged on my credit card and based on that number along with Canada Post's handling charge of $5 and tack on HST (12%) I get a damn close estimate of $120 per box. That works out to $2 per minifig (60 per box). I did order more than 3 boxes so if the club wants more it can be done.

The only answers I need is how many boxes ($120 per box) and who's carrying the ca$h? I can deliver/meet if you're near Broadway from UBC to Commercial Drive. The sooner I put the money back into the bank the happier my wife will be.

I think we will take one more box for a total of three. Someone in the Vancouver area will need to square up with you when they pick the Figs up. Pierre or David are you cool with that?

Yes AC, one of us and even gumby has offered to handle the transaction and pickup depending on when beethead receives them.

Cool would be Native Girl, Alien, Sumo, Aviator.

Not holding my breath for an elf or a fisherman but I'd be stoked if I got one in my 20pack.

Next meeting date/time is organized by the meeting co-ordinator (currently BrickBaron) at the current meeting. I believe a volunteer for the February space is already in the works.

As for the figs, I should have posted /the rules/ of the system to this thread once the old threat was abandoned. The group of 5 people that is dividing the original 2 cases agreed on a structure for dividing them. I guess the people dividing the extra case could figure out there own structure, if they don't want to use the same one.

The system we decided on if that each person gets a full set of each 16 figures, plus 4 'drafted figures' to make us the 20 in a set. The draft is a process where you open all the bags to reveal the figures, then roll dice to determine picking order and take turn picking the remaining figures.

Once it's all done, you start trading with other participants.

JS, once the cases arrive, you will get some. We needed someone to sign on for the 3rd set to get another box, and you committed $28, so I said that I would buy a set, but I don't really need a whole set (since I already ordered 2). We can each put in $20 and split the set, or whatever.
