Series 3 Minifigs Box of 60, Group Buy?

Post by beethead »

I'm about to order my series 3 minifigs and was wondering if anyone else is interested in a box? After taxes and shipping the total price would be $120 Canadian funds. Not as a low as I had wanted but it still works out to $2 per minifig as opposed to $2.99+taxes.

A few of us talked about this and decided to order 2 boxes. At the time, there was nothing cheap on BL as the first few sellers where charging top dollar for being the first to sell.

I just checked BL and don't see anything cheaper than about $2.25CAD each, so I guess you have a better source.

So, yes, 5 of us discussed splitting two cases, so if you want to order three cases, go ahead and we will take two of them to divide up. Thanks!

If you are not in a position to order 3 cases, I can order all three if you point me to your source.

Order is on the way. It will take 2 weeks as they are coming from Europe, not a BL store. I'll PM you when they arrive. Also ordered some road base plates, sets #7280 and #7281, if anyone is interested. Estimate price is $13 each.

If beethead can't make it, I could meet up with him, then meet up with chump, who could then meet up with the rest of you at the meeting. Make sense? :)

So gumby knows beethead?

Dark Helmet: I am your father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate.
Lone Star: What does that make us?
Dark Helmet: Absolutely nothing, which is what you are about to become.

I only saw SpaceBalls once in the theatre when it first came out, but after all these years, it still stuck in my head.

Wouldn't work for me as that's smack damn in the middle of a work day. I'm one of those odd balls that works 6 nights a week. The last night belongs to my wife, if you know what I mean. :) My only free time is when my kids are at school. I'm a domesticated husband/father that not only has to cook & clean but also has to go to work after that's all done.

Bryan, if you were designing our transportation systems I think things might be more efficient. Half of people would be transporting the other half along their way and there might not be any need for mail trucks. ;)

The box deal was to buy cases of 60 in thirds (blocks of 20).

I think the order has already gone in, all all 180 are accounted for, though you might find that some people rounded up to 20 and would be willing to do some trading.

Just an update for you guys. The minifigs have cleared Canada custom and are with Canada Post in Mississauga. If I'm lucky they might show up at my door by Thursday :D or Friday morning.

oooo..oooo.... that would be so awesome.... I can't remember what the arrangement is and whether we're doing the Gumby dance/transfer. I'll PM you my phone number and if it comes on Thursday we'll see if we can arrange a pick up. Friday will probably be too late to make the meeting.

JS, if you read back a few posts you will discover that you are sadly too late. We gathered up people who each bought figs in blocks of 20 (since there are 60 to a case) and then bought 3 cases since we had demand for 9 sets. All 9 sets are spoken for, but some people may have rounded up to 20, only really wanting 16, or 32, in which case you might be able to get a few.

I knew we should have ordered an extra case. I was thinking that weeks ago, imagining that more people would show up wanted fig, and thinking that the worst thing that could happen would be that I would end up wit ha few extra sets. :D

As for getting them, if they are up at UBC on friday, I will go and get them before the meeting. It's not in my line of travel, but I can make the trip for figs! wow
