I think I used the URL link to post it, but that could very well not be the way to get the picture to show up. Which thing do you have to click to embed a picture?

No problem!
To embed a picture, you find the picture on the web that you want and then right click it and select "Copy Image Location" (at least that is what it is called if you are using firefox). Then in your post hit the "Img" button and then ctrl-v to paste the image location you copied.
