Suggestions for Microscale

I want to try building in microscale but I've never done so before and it is quite challenging. What suggestions do you guys have on starting off? For example how to pick the scale [of microscale] and how to envision the build. Thanks!!!

look at existing microscale builds online to see how certain design elements translate into smaller dimensions to start off. then build a few from instructions if you have to to get the techniques then moc it up

I would suggest checking out the Microscale builds in the community display box at the Lego Store at Oakridge mall.

Everything in their represents a local landmark, and all were build by VLC members.



ps. Each builder also has fairly distinctive build styles and techniques.
