The Lego Ideas Book: Unlock Your Imagination

I borrowed this book from the library today. It's a pretty darn good book to give to kids as inspiration for building. A lot of pictures. And while no explicit instructions are given, I think that most kids reading this could probably piece something similar together.

I'll bring it to the November meeting.

I wonder if Costco will be carrying it?

Did you check the book for bedbugs?

Only dead bedbugs were found in one section of the library. And the protocol in place sent notifications to borrowers of books in that area to check the books in their possession. The books in the effected areas were quarantined and then heated up to cook the books. So I feel pretty good!

Plus it was a nice new book with tight binding. Yup, blind faith stupidity!

What a coincidence - I just saw this book in the bookstore yesterday, and put a hold on it at VPL... looks like an amazing book!

They are not carrying it, at least at Willingdon they are not. They are carrying the DK Brickmaster books, i didn't check which ones, but saw Ninjago and another one at least. They also have the Lego Star Wars Character Encyclopedia for $11.xx includes Ceremonial Han Solo minifig.

Kind of funny you answered your own question.

Since you've been to the Willingdon Costco, how long do you think it will take before you see those Creator Sonic Boom sets go on clearance?

I forgot to check the toy section today and didn't feel like going back in to see what they had this year. If it's a set you want and it's a good price, you may be better off buying it and trying to price protect it , if it drops. Although, last year the SP3 Lunar Limo dropped, but without a store having it in stock they won't price protect. I missed out on getting that set at all, but in the East, it dropped to ridiculous prices.

Thanks, Brian, although Book Depository in the first link has it for Cdn$19.46 (no taxes) delivered to your door. About 2-3 weeks as it ships from the UK, though.

The price does fluctuate based on availability and exchange rate. Right now the link above shows it's not available and if you search it comes up at $23.xx.

For the other books I brought to the meeting, the Lego Idea Books (technic based from Japan), they are listing for about $12.65 each which ain't a bad price.

It's at Costco for $14.99 which is really cheap. If any VLC members wants me to try and pick up a copy for them let me know.

Pierre can you grab me a copy at Costco? I saw they had them at Village Books in Bellis Fair and accept Canadian at Par but $15 is a steal.
