Crazy Canadian Dollar

Figures, we've been back from Brickcon for 2 weks and now the Canadian dollar is stronger than the American. Not that paying $1.04 for $1USD was all that bad.

But LEGO really needs to balance the cost the cost of LEGO again, cause the 40% difference is really ridiculous.

Until we start saying we are not going to buy Lego at these prices in Canada (we being -AFOLs, TFOLs, kids and their parents) they will keep the price gap.

I wouldn't ever expect LEGO to do lower their prices closer to US anytime soon. They always give excuses about distribution networks and disposable income percentages. Maybe if the major chains relied on distrubtion from the US we'd see something subtantial.

Were like Australia in a way,except we live next to the 2nd largest buyer of lego the US of A .,the first being Germany,I believe the UK is third.Too bad Canada didnt have the distributing rights in North America like they did in the late sixties.
I think somehow Lego bases their prices on how much a country buys in Lego.Oh well ,at least we arnt Australia,they seem to pay the most.
