How do I start a lego club?

Post by Bladerunner »

I want to start a lego club at my learning centre.

What are some of the things I should know. How popular will this be?

I am planning on having robotics classes; www.mindstorms.ca .... any thoughts? ....

Hi Bladerunner,

A good resource for you is to check out brothers-brick.com
on the right hand side there is a list of catagories to choose from.
Look for the essay option. There are about 60 entries.
Some of them deal specifically with starting a LUG (Lego User group)
I havnt read all of the articles but there should be some really useful info there.

Feel free to use our public forum to communicate with other lego users in your area.

Bladerunner, you could pm Paul.N.He does robotics classes in north van and various other areas. Also their was Drew who was out in chilliwack ,he also was intrested in Mindstorms and taught classes out there.I dont know if you have anyone in the US with a mailing address.Pitsco, an educational division that works with some lego, you could order material on line but you need a US mailing address.
Hope some of this helps.
