Anyone Notice Star Wars Sets are smaller........

Post by legofactory »

SW: $12.99 Other Themes: $9.99
SW: $69.99 Other Themes: $54.99

The only same-box size are the 26.99, 39.99 and 54.99 star wars sets.
But take note of this... the WIDTH of the box is actually more narrow than other themes.

It seems like Star Wars Sets gets rip-off BIG-TIME. The box size for $69.99 sets for star wars are EQUAL to $54.99 sets of other themes such as city and pirates. And they have 2 instruction booklets of fun time building, where as star wars only has 1.... Meaning only one thing.... longer build time for other lego themes !

And i really mean equal, take an example:
Compare Agents Speedboat Rescue with Star Wars Imperial Landing Craft....
The box size is exactly the same.... except the pieces are a bit more for Star wars since you pay more. But the pieces are smaller...

But i guess it has to do with the license wth star wars..

Yes i agree. But to be honest, i actually would prefer more star wars scenes/locations sets other than just ships/vehicles. Theres lesser playiblity.

If you look at the location sets, they are usually a HIT !
Like the hoth rebel base 7666 (look at my pic), its sold-out AGAIN !

Quick Note: Toysrus rips them off even more !
Only sales are good !
Otherwise, regular price = more expensive than other retail stores.

TRUST ME ! Buy from superstore or walmart.

Last time i went Superstore has anakin fighter for $24.99
Toysrus: $28.99
Wal-Mart $26.86

TRU is the most expensive but they do have the best selection. Sometimes you just have to take joy in the hunt for the sets you want. Find your inner bounty hunter and have fun on the hunt. I find if I really want a set, I put it on a wanted list (with pictures sometimes) and I have fun crossing then off as I get them. You can do this with anything in life. This is not my idea it is in several success principle books.
If it's not the price you want, then keep looking.HAVE FUN on the hunt.
