New clone wars sets are here But i'm :(

This was suppose to be happy since my favourite lego is here. But to my disappointment, most of the sets are way to overpriced. Take an example of the homing spider droid. It cost $39.99 CAD, its the same size as the hailfire droid and spider for 26.99 !!! It even has lesser pieces and cost way more. What a rip off. Same as the twilight, its just a flying ugly box that cost $119.99? i don't think so. I'm gonna rather get the AT TE for 119.99 then that piece of ugly box.
The only good sets that ain't too overpriced are probably the droid gunship, republic gunship and AT TE.
Big dissappointment. Especially since toysrus has the exclusives the prices are even gonna be higher.

Yeah I'm not happy either. The Gunship is $20 more in Canada and AT-TE is marked up $30 here in the great white north. If I buy these sets it will be on a trip to Seattle.

But if your looking for a better buy from the AT TE or republic gunship.... GEt the republic gunship. Its only raised up by $20. AT TE raised up by $30 when its actually suppose to be a cheaper set.
So this means republic gunship is only a bit more expensive

are these re-release of the sets from a few years ago ? i have an older republic gunship and i am having trouble seeing the differences . at least when they re did the snow speeder , xwing and falcon , there was significant updated . the gunship and AT-TE to me does not

Yup brickhead ! Its a new verision. The republic gunship is bigger and has more interior. Also, you get new minifigures. The only bad part was the lack of clones. How sad. only 1 commander and 1 white clones. It was suppose to be able to drop AT TE in the movies and swarms after swarms of clone troopers.

Both are new versions - the AT TE, for example, is beefier, and can actually be "dropped" now without falling apart ...
