I think it will be the Ape. Who wouldn't want to create a crazy planet of the Apes scene, or a jungle, or a zoo.

But with all the bar codes no longer being printed, no one will be able to tell, except by touch... All the more reason to just order cases, open/sort them and then draft them all.

The case idea is the best. No codes will make it very hard to get full sets and the extras we all want if we go it on our own the way we have been. :D

Isn't it supposed to be January 2011? No time. No time.

Does the grass skirt on the hula girl look like it's removable? It looks like a separate piece.

I heard that it was January 2011 as well. That being said, January 2011 is right after Christmas. I would not be surprised if they were, ahem, released early in December!

Wow, the skirt is a separate piece. Maybe Paul can use 10 of them to make a jungle float?

Forget leaked images. I read on Brickset that a Fred Meyer's in Seattle already has on sale Series three. The guy bought 11 boxes and they're showing up on eBay already!

There's even an image of the guy at the checkout line with his boxes of series 3 over at Toysnbricks.

As a side note I have a quote for 67.87 Euro per box of 60 polybags from a reseller in Europe but won't be able to order until the release date. My estimate is ~$2.10 CDN landed price for each figure based on current Euro exchange rate, shipping and taxes.

"Scheduled to be released in January, it looks like these minifigures have been out already! Hillel from BrickPop contacts us with news that his local Fred Myer in Seeatle, WA now has the LEGO 8803 Collectable Minifigures Series 3 instock."

The correct word in that sentence should be "HAD". I was in the States on Monday and kinda regret not poping by Fred Meyer. Sorry I'm still jaded over everyone crawling out of the woodwork just to resell them on craigslist.

We definatley need to order them ASAP to resist the urge of hunting down Walmarts at 7 AM to feel polybags. I'm all for a Bellevue trip in the new year though to buy in mystery bulk.

to be fair according to the forum post the 11 boxes were for 3 people :P Still I don't ever see myself needing 3 or 4 boxes to myself.

Woohoo! There's a secret dot system for decoding the contents of series three. And since April Fools day is so far away, this appears to be real. I believe I read it at Eurobricks. For you iPhone users I bought the Bricking News app by Ace at FBTB and it makes it quite easy to do a quick surf of news at the four major sites as well as 20 popular flickr Lego streams.
