only thing is that becomes a major commitment of bricks reallyreally fast :(. looks great though

The black road section is SNOT. The white "blocks" are 1x2 "corrugated" bricks.

" a major commitment of bricks" An understatement when you are talking a club layout. There are some real advantages to doing it this way. You could have a construction crew digging up a section of road and actually have a hole. Trolley tracks look really good in this kind of road as well. Just toooooo many bricks.

I think it's affordable unless you had a huge layout. But the biggest problem I see is curves... how do you do curves? With Plates on the edges?

We had done a road like this for thee trolley tracks in the short film Daveed was in ,had to borrow 86 of Brians 1x2 grey tiles to butt up against the track.It was fun to do.

Those are GREAT ROADS considering that they are made from LEGO bricks.

wow, those are some very nice roads. I am petty happy with the base plates with raised sidewalks. s whole layout with those roads would be beautiful though.
