Lego.com Launches Pick-A-Brick Online

Hey guys,

just saw the new section of TLC's website - they've introduced the "Lego Factory Pick A Brick" store. It's basically just a repackaged version of Lego Factory - indeed I think the parts palette is almost the same - but whereas Lego Factory/LDD is meant for models, the Online PaB store is apparently meant to be an official answer to Bricklink. The prices are high for some things, but a lot of them are comparable to Bricklink (at least to the average BL price). I don't imagine it will be replacing BL anytime soon, but I'm sure a lot of parents would feel more comfortable about buying directly from TLC, even if they've actually heard of BL in the first place. . the nice thing is that you can get rare new ones in quantiity . like 1x1 bricks with studs on 2 sides

technic 1x14 brick seams to be the only really good deal. nothing at PaB is that expencive when you think that you can fit hundreds of pieces into each cup.

yeah, I noticed the 1x14s and was quite gleeful - the only kicker is that it's by order......... Darn shipping charges!! BL is usually really good with shipping - often for cost, but S@H is like every other corporation...
