Passports required

Post by Dj_Max »

Just a little tidbit of information that we may want to keep track of...

According to the news on the radio, as of the end of the year, Canadians will be required to show their passports when entering the US.

Makes jumping over the border for the shows a little more complicated... :shake:
Cheers!

It won't be till Jan 1, 2007. Because of of the 9/11 Commision reccomendations Canadians will have to show more than a Driver's License etc... They want a high security document like a passport, but I read today in the Globe a Permanent Resident Card or Alberta Driver's License might qualify. Unfortunatley none of those would apply to us. Now hopefully the Federal Gov't will come up with something more secure than a BCDL but not as much of a hassle as a passport. I'm glad mine expires in '09.
