8831 Lego CMF Series 7

Post by chump »

We've all seen this image,

Eurobricks has a comprehensive review of the figs here along with a decent distribution, but I guess that's hard to screw up with such great figs. I would have only preferred less Tarzans and more Poseidon/Neptunes.

The group buy thread would be on the VLC side. This thread is purely for discussion of the figs.

It's too bad the bunny suit guy wasn't going to be here for Easter. My kids like him and grandma visitor-red riding hood with the new basket to collect eggs! #7 is a very cool series! :)

Agreed. Series 7 is one of the best yet. I'm definitely going to get all 16. Now what will Series 8,9,10 bring us?

I quite like that we are able to get 3 sets per box, since all figs have minimum quantity of 3 per box.

It's really an interesting series.
As for highlights, this is one of the best yet. The Riot Girl, Aztec, Space Marine and Neptune are all pretty darn flashy. The lows do look pretty low though. There are as many as 6 figures that I actually have no interest in this time... Usually there are 1-3 outstanding figures, 1-3 kinda boring figs, and the rest are middle of the road cool figs that I end up getting 1 or more of.
With this series, I can't see myself getting multiples of any, outside of the Aztec.
I'm not complaining or anything, I'm quite excited about this set. I find my polar opposite feelings about it interesting though. I'll probably only buy 15 or so max (including doubles), so at least it won't be as expensive as these things usually are!

I just picked up three of these from Toy Traders in Langley today. I managed to get a Space Marine, a Bagpiper and the Hippie. The Space Marine is great. Both of the prints on his head work well and the armour piece is really nice. It has one stud on the back along with two grip sized extensions pointing down from the backpack. The Bagpiper is also really nice. The prints on the bagpipes and his cap are nicely done and the kilt works well enough. I was surprised by the hippie. He is a really great figure with wonderful prints on the torso and his head. I like him alot more than I thought I would.

Well I am well on my way to a full set. Only 13 more to go.

Got 12 at the Fred Meyer in Bellingham today. Also got my very first double. shake I met an AFOL there with his son feeling up the bags and had a nice chat with him about the LEGO Store and such. Too bad there was no 10% off coupon at Fred Meyer.

Low and behold my local Wal mart out here in South Surrey just put out about ten cases of CMF 7 today. I was able to complete my set and get some for my nephews aswell. I am glad that the Space Marine seems to be in abundance as all three of my nephews wanted one. I would still say that the Space Marine is my favorite in this series now that I have all of them to compare, however the Aztec warrior is also very nice with a great print on his shield and the Dare devil is wonderful. All I need for him now is a Harley Davidson so he can jump Ceasers Palace's fountains.

The staff had some at the Oakridge Lego store today. Although I don't recall seeing it actually on display. They were trying to find the rabbit dude.

The Bagpiper would go well with half a dozen series 6 Highlanders.

Yes the bagpiper is kinda cool. The Viking lady=valkyrie works well with the series #4 viking and older viking sets.

Did Queensborough ever restock Series 7? I still need the punk rocker and Aztec Warrior to complete my collection. I know Chapters has S7 in stock, but wanted to see if WM had any available.

Sorry, already have a trade planned out. Maybe we can work something out in the future? :)
