lol true about Scooby Doo!

I'm disappointed the some figs are almost identical to the CMF's.. mad scientist, frankenstein, mummy and vampire..
Werewolf looks very similar to the old one they had for that hollywood set

I really like the Vampire Castle a lot and would pick up the Creature from Lagoon cause its cool and 1 of the cheapest sets

Keep in mind that these sets/images are preliminary. Sets are subject to change before the release.

And they often use existing parts for early concept art while waiting on a new mould. In this case they might have used whole five or parts of figs. I for one am totally up for a third vampire, just to have a greater variety of faces and bodies. some with the other monsters.

Daveed, Don't forget the female vampire. I think they made her glow in the dark.

Does anyone know if they rumoured haunted mansion is part of this set.. or part of the creator line? I think it is kit#10228.. and from what I can tell it comes with 2 ghosts.

Overalll I myself like the monster fighters.. though they make me think of the Monster Squard movie from my childhood... hehe.

There are some cool looking sets in this line.. and it would appear if you like vintage looking cars, this line has a few of those. Dracula's Hearse looks cool.. and looks like the driver might be a zombie type monster. The Creature from the Lagoon.. or the Deep.. not sure what he is called yet.. looks to be my favourite as well.

I am reading rumours of a set that has not been revealed.. set number 9465.. the zombie set. Apparently it comes with 2 zombie minifigures. The driver in the Hearse set also looks like a zombie to me. I am not sure if this rumoured set will come out with the initial sets or will be something we will see next year... or perhaps might even be an exclusive. Fans of the walking dead series, surely will be happy with a Zombie set.. also Dracula could very well use Zombies as his troops to do battle against the Monster Fighters.

I have to once again say that this new line is growing more and more on me.

Being a kid in the 80's I was a big fan of the tv movie called the Monster Squad. For all those not familiar with this movie.. basically Dracula summons a group of monsters ( the mummy, Frankenstein's Monster, The Wolfman and the Gillman ) to help him find an amulet to gain control of the world. A group of kids end up getting in his way, and along with a monster fighter try to prevent him from getting away with his plot.

When I saw the monster fighters sets.. right away I thought of this movie. Of course nothing is certain that lego based their ideas from this movie.. but it seems very similar.. though Dracula needs to collect stones to open a portal in the lego series.. but the same monsters are pretty much present. Though the monsters present in both the movie and lego are your typical movie monsters. The only exception is the ghosts.. as they were not in the movie.

Here is the link to the movie trailer! I am totally hyped to watch this movie again! And yes.. I guess a good way to stop the wolfman is to kick him in the balls.. though that might make him more mad lol.
