This message was passed along the PortLUG mailing list in Portland to all who wish to lend assistance to BrickCon. I'm just passing along this message, nothing more.

I talked to Wayne recently, and there are still many things folks can help out with BrickCon if folks are interested. Some of these I think you all will be very interested in. Just contact Wayne Hussey through the BrickCon website.

These are the things he mentioned to me:
There are still a few themes that do not have Theme co-ordniators.
We need seminars, presentations, etc. We need people to run some of our activities. This is things like fig fling, wacky racers, speed build etc... Seminars include pretty much anything Lego related from sorting discussions, to custom modding, to engineering or snot building techniques. The sky is the limit there.
We are trying to have a Gaming room, but need gamers to run/manage the space and games.
We need some graphics work on our T-Shirt (we have the image, just need some conversion work - Photoshop).
We do not have a Commemorative Model design. There have been thoughts about repeating last year's model, but we'd need to have the instructions reworked. A new model would be preferable. The theme is "Building a Community."
Now on that last one is a big one. The Commemorative Model is the kit sold at the convention for that year. I try and buy the one from each convention I go to. If you're interested in designing the model for the convention, here are the things you need to know. The model should come in at about 200 pieces, more if no figs, fewer if there are figs. Submit photos of your creation to Wayne. It should fit the theme "Building a Community"
