it depends on your building style . when i have fewer piece i found it easier to do color . but when you collection gets obscenely big , shape is pretty much the only way to go . :( If it's really obscenely big, shape AND color is the way to go. All my standard bricks are sorted by both shape and c...

Yep, just confirming that the light grey is the NEW light bley. Haven't worked out yet what I'm going to do about sorting/storing them, the difference is so darn slight - but noticeable.

If anyone buys these and doesn't want the grey, I'll take it off your hands :)

The dark grey seems to be the new one, but the light grey seems to me to be old grey. Can't see any difference between it and my existing light grey.

No brown, no unusual colors except orange, all bricks, plates and slopes.

2000 piece tub 4425 $24.96 at Walmart

Subject says it all... our tiny Powell River walmart has them so I imagine the ones in Vancouver do too. This tub doesn't have the bonus weird pieces that the ones in the US had, but it's a very good deal on basic bricks all the same.

Classic Red Barn

Here's a barn to go with the farmhouse. I set them up with a little farm scene on my veggie stall at the local Fall Fair a few weeks ago and they were a big hit.

As Robin mentioned, I'm in Powell River. I sometimes pass through Courtenay/Comox on my way down to Victoria, but it sounds like you're pretty much out in the wilds :) If you ever get over to PR let me know.

Wellll... I'm not so keen on the googly eyes on mine

I modded a head for my own sig fig by adjusting the beard on one with better glasses/eyes. See it here:

Stores like this exist, but not in Vancouver.

Online, you can try Bricklink (www.bricklink.com)

In various places in the US and Europe, there are stores which have "pick-a-brick": this LUGNET search has references to many of them:

Hope that helps
