When a new user registers for the forums they will first be vetted for past spamming infractions through StopForumSpam.com When a new user registers they will ...

Re: FORUMS UPGRADES
I'll be captain obvious here: Upgrade is complete. I expect there to be some tweaking of settings etc, but everything should be intact.
Use this thread to note any issues you notice, questions you have or features you just wish existed. I'll keep an eye on it and address them as best I can.

FORUMS UPGRADES
All, I plan to be running upgrades to the forums tonight. If you come along and they are down, it should be for less than an hour. Things will look a little different, but all in all should be the same. If you have problems with the upgrades, or notice a problem send me a PM. I expect a couple growi...

Re: 42056 porsche 911 revealed.
As far as motorizing it, if you watch Sariel's YouTube review, he found a spot to quite easily add an XL PF motor in there. Like it was designed to have it. Perhaps TLG removed the PF since it didn't perform to their standards and simply opted to sell it as a non-PF / User upgradeable set. YouTube V...

Re: 42056 porsche 911 revealed.
I watched Sariel's review while I waited for it to release on S@H last night. Made me less likely to buy it. I waited until 12:05am but it still wasn't available online so I went to sleep. Checked again at 6:20am and it's sold out until the end of June already. Won't be available in stores until Aug...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5wy0YhCuuA Get the excitement going. However here in British Columbia, with tax, it comes out to 14.5 cents per piece. Without tax: 12.9 cents per piece. But it's just so beautiful and has several exclusive pieces. I'm curious how the piece that "allows for smooth sh...

Bobabricks, Welcome to the forums! We are all just getting off the high that was BrickCan. Did you manage to make it out? If you did, you likely met a few of us if you were there. We have a meeting coming up in one week in the South Vancouver area. Either if you PM DKan or she may reach out to you, ...

Re: Lego for Wedding
Welcome to the forums Kammme! I have worked with a couple to create build instructions for a small bride and groom that people were given as party favors. As I recall, some got brides and some got grooms. Made for an easy yet fun build. Perhaps include a printed brick with names and the date of the ...

Re: Brixo Kickstarter
It does look cool. I had seen something similar at one time where someone added copper traces to bricks for electrical prototyping. I wonder though how it would handle shorting out etc. Lego is designed to prevent kids from hurting themselves with electrical components, this seems to expose all that...

Re: Vintage Lego for Sale
Might you have a few pictures of the collection? Nothing needs to be built, but showing how it's stored and maybe one or two shots of some of the Lego, for example the ziplock bags of the color separated Lego will help people see just how much there is. That may help you get more traction with poten...

Once you find a method that works for you, the trick is also keeping up with it. We had a thread going about sorting here: http://www.VLC.ca/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4195 While there are many ways to sort, the most helpful suggestion I've ever received is: a good sorting system will allow you to l...

Re: Super Heroes Mighty Micros and Civil War Sets
I picked up the Spidey and Green Goblin set. The faces are great! Is that the one with the 1x2 - 2x2 blue bracket piece? That part is the last part we needed in blue for the Tardis and I accidentally stumbled across that part on Bricklink (well I had it in a permanent wanted list). It turns out, th...

Heavy Haul Train on Sale! (Red Locomotive)
The Heavy haul train is on sale for $191.98 CAD down from $239.99 CAD. The train station is also on sale. Lego seems to be clearing out train related sets. Usually a company will do this when planning to introduce new stuff... might there be new stuff on the way? Perhaps some trains geared towards A...

Re: 2016 sets from Nuremberg
The mainline for our trains layout is powered track, which you can run PF trains on and cuts down on the batteries required for PF trains although I think motors are getting hard to find so not sure how long we will be able to keep that up, but for PF, track is track, so no worries and sometimes it'...
