Re: Astronaut Builds LEGO Space Station Inside The Space Station

I was just reading the comments that followed that post on space.com - man, there's a lot of blowhard cynics in this world of ours. When did everyone get so grumpy? *sigh*

Mentioned in Pass It To Bulis

Anyone read this hockey blog? VLC.ca got a mention! http://vansunsportsblogs.com/2012/03/02/i-watched-this-game-canucks-vs-st-louis-blues-march-1-2012/ Midway down the page: ◦Alain Vigneault really has the giggles these days. Think he’s recently discovered one of the major benefits of living in Vanc...

Can't see it at Brentwood either, although my favourite gaming store's there. Would be nice though as it would be nice and close to me :)

Re: Vancouver LEGO store

Can't see it at Coquitlam Centre even though that would be spectacularly close to me :) Was just there to do my annual "Watch The Panicky Men Buy For Their Wives" crowd and didn't see any empty spots being reno'd to take in a new tenant...

Re: Vancouver LEGO store

I think I would've been more excited last year when my kids started getting into it and I still am, on some level, but I suspect I'll still be buying most of mine in the States. The price differential is just too great and TRU-USA seemingly has a BOGO50 every other week especially around this time o...

Re: Feeling Pleased With Myself

Who would ever get LEGO @ regular prices south of the border? TRU USA flyers continually post BOGO50's... seems kind of like the norm... or it feels that way. Maybe it's extra accentuated by the time of year...

I'll keep my eyes out for the joust set.

I am extra stoked by the Dino sets :) :) :)

Re: Feeling Pleased With Myself

Daughter and I are trying to stay focused on the City sets... she has some of the Kingdom pieces (outpost, ect), but man... at $80, I couldn't walk away. So it came back with us. I had really wanted to grab the Creator houses but didn't find any of those... castle was a great consolation prize :)

Feeling Pleased With Myself

Picked up the large King's Castle at the Target in Bellis Fair for... $80! I think I see it up here for $130 normally. Still shaking my head at the US/CA price differential...

BOGO50 @ Zellers

Not sure if this is system-wide but it's certainly BOGO50 at the Zellers in Maple Ridge. Not the best selection there, but if there's a well-stocked Zellers near you, it's worth a look-see.

Re: Till 9/24/11 Toys'R'Us USA Buy 2, Get 3rd Free All LEGO

Don't have anything pressing to get recently, but I'm thinking of shipping them to Sumas next time; have used Ship It there for camera gear and they've worked out for me.

I see the Costco has a few of these sets - are these fun? Good with kids is probably a given, but I don't really know what these games are about or what the premise is. Any personal experiences with it, and how's the replayability?

Re: 20% off CARS and Technic at TRU in Metrotown

Does TRU have "local" sales (that store only) or do they generally tack to a regional flyer...? I just don't have the energy to drive from store to store to see if a sale is a general one or that-store only... thought you guys would probably know from experience.

[LEGO City] New train set!

Saw the new LEGO Red Train set @ Toys'R'Us over the weekend; incidentally was the last day of a 20% off certain CITY sets sale... it looks pretty nice. Online here:

Re: Last day - Toys'R'Us 15% off City LEGO

I think I'm kinda done for LEGO CITY purchases for the year... I really hauled up a truckload from that BOGO50 at Toys'R'Us in Seattle a few weeks ago. What I really need now is more road pieces - curse you LEGO, why do you bundle all those useless pieces - and I never see those at the stores.

Hey thanks for all the advice on Portland - I've been there before but it was a food trip and we did hit up the zoo, but all the rest are news to me. Hoping to make it down there still, really enjoyed my last drive down, the kids weren't into LEGO at the time so add the store to the list for the tri...

Re: Last day - Toys'R'Us 15% off City LEGO

Some of the bobbleheads were $7; obviously stock that isn't going to move. None of the popular ones were there. Some others were 25% off, I saw a few smatterings of 15 & 30's. I've only built the Mirage & Prowl so far and was pretty entertained by them... I do like the Kreons since they've got more ...
