That Orca looks really cool! Reminds me of the whale statue in front of the Aquarium. :)

It reminds me of Pierre's larger version (which he built first; his build inspired mine), which in turn reminds me of the one Douglas Coupland built and is displayed outside of the convention center:

Did you only use light grey for any grey that was used?

Yes. Limited the color palette to white, black, and light blue grey.

;)

ps. But their are lots of other colors inside for support, even though the orca is 'mostly' hollow...

pss. I can see some green between the cracks, so I may have to rebuild parts of it replacing those parts with black too (at some point in the future)...

Yeah, I had colour bleed through issues as well which I had to be aware and replace.

Instructions! Well, sorta...

This link will take you to a PDF I created which shows the individual layers needed to build this Minifig scale Digital Orca.

Digital Orca Layers Doc: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qylr8ja83lacv ... s.pdf?dl=0

The pdf was never intended to be shared, so I'm not going to apologize for the lack of verbage, legend, or formatting. Use at your own peril. ha ha

Seriously, I used this document as a guide(?) to build each individual layer starting at layer 1 (at the end of the document) and working my way up each layer (moving toward the front of the document)...

Here is a legend for you:

G = Gray
B = Black
W = White
I = any color or empty space (this is an Internal brick which is not visible from the outside)

P = Plate
T = Tile

0-99 = the number of same plates high directly above this position in the model. NOTE: This is VERY useful as a number 3 actually mean you could use a brick here, instead of 3 plates. I used this information extensively while building my model. It even has a 1x5 white brick at the front, and many 2x4 black bricks, and even 1 2x6 black brick! So if you want/need to conserve plates, this number is worth noting. Also, if to plates next to each other both have a 3 or higher, then these two 1x1 plates, could be replaced by one 1x2 brick! This logic is how I determined where I could put bricks of varying sizes in place of many smaller plates.

If you plan to use this document to build your own mini-fig scale Digital Orca, and have any questions, I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Are you referring to the minidoll in the pink sunglasses? I'm assuming that one since you specified 'white'.. :)
