MOC challenge!
after posting on one of Tylers threads about wanting to be more of a builder and less of a collector, and since I cant seem to make many meetings,I wanted to try something to get me motivated to build. Some of the club members seem to pump out great stuff every week(I dont know where you find the time),and I really want to build.
So heres my challenge,I want to invite three people from the club to a building challenge, once you accept the challenge you have two weeks to post your finished Moc,or your work in progress. My first three challengers are not people that you normally see post mocs online I think, but I see them on the forums fairly regular.
I'm starting off with three invites just to get the ball rolling,we should probaly keep it to single person challenges cause no way Am I going to be able to do three mocs in two weeks,so I'll take the first response from my invites as my challenge.
I'm challenging Bryan(Gumby),Diane and Pierre to a moc challenge, something in your favorite theme on a 16 x 16 baseplate size, not too large to start out, have some fun with it,I'll await my first response.
So anyone else can jump on this thread ,change the size of the build and the time peramiters,The idea is to post a moc on the forums finished or not and get some encouraging feedback from others, hopefully get a few different people posting and several challenges going on at the same time.I look foward to seeing what people come up with.
So Bryan,Diane and Pierre have fun and play well!

Re: MOC challenge!
Great idea Andrew. I started reading this and imidatly thought of the work out challenge that is going around Squamish now. (Someone nomataites 3 people and each one of them nomataites 3 people, and so on.
I think this will be really fun and can't wait to see what people build.
Good luck to the first 3 nomanated.

Re: MOC challenge!
Oh man, when I started reading your post Andrew, I had a feeling I would get called out...
Challenge accepted!
I'll report back within two weeks.

Re: MOC challenge!
Fabulous idea, Andrew. And as Gumby I had a feeling a call out would be put out to me. Anyways, thanks for Gumby for stepping up to the first challenge, since I'm really busy at the moment.
Coincidentally though, I am actually working on a MOC right now. It' s based on something in reality which is really simple but no one to my knowledge has done it so far. I'm about a third of the way through, but will have to tear it down now that I've got more of the pieces I need to do it in the correct colours.
So I will eventually take up this challenge, or I'll use the new Mixels red series as my element palette when the time comes.

Re: MOC challenge!
Ya Allan that's the same challenge that's going around Squamish.
I've learnt if you stay off social media you can't get tagged with it

Re: MOC challenge!
Oh but Hamslice you are a friend of mine on Facebook.
OK, I would not do that to you.

Re: MOC challenge!
I built a room in my house. Due to a lack of practice, this was a really difficult build for me! I wanted to add some wall art or decor, but I just couldn't get it to work.
This is my first MOC in quite some time. It will also be my last MOC for a while, as this room will be occupied by late April.
Pierre, you're next (to present a MOC, not to have a kid)! No restrictions.

Re: MOC challenge!
Impressive! The simple color palette really works well here.

Thanks for the comments, guys/gals. For reference, here's a pic of the real baby room:
