Wow, that looks great! I love the upper landing pad. Great use of that classic landing plate.

Thanx guys. I have enjoyed building it, however it is still a work in progress. I have alot of plans for it, plus want to build more modules.

I personally like the above ground landing pad.

Hopefully by the time we do another show i will have a monster complex, plus being classic space, if others wanted to bring in stuff of that theme then we could have quite the colony like some i have seen on brickshelf.

I'll post more pix as i build more :)

I am hoping within the next month to have enough of a station and addons to fill a 4x8 table. As it is it is already filling up my worktable to the max :)

Thanx for the idea. I have found a few brickshelf pages to be of good inspiration as well.

Well guys, i have had some time on my hands this weekend and back to work tomorrow, so i thought i would give you my progress plus a sneak peak at a WIP custom classic space cruiser using 2 city harbor hulls.

Head-on view of progress. When on display at show i will probably swing the landing pad to the front so the crane train can load/unload.

Thanx David, i think this Classic space project is my main project that i'll build on (although i enjoy technic though).

I am in the process of rebuilding the layout for moonbase compatibility. Maybe in a few days i'll post pix of my new and improved train crane.

Yeah i found the gallery on the front page. There have been a few galleries that have inspired me.

Wow,

That's awesome. I love the classic space look, that's what first got me into LEGO - in particular the LL925 set that's parked on the landing pad.

I'm really looking forward to seeing more as you build it.

Cheers,
Adrian

I uploaded today some progress photos of my space station. I changed/upgraded the solarium, plus the main hanger/control module.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/deepinafrica/

I also have developed (unless someone else came up with it), a modular conduit system to power each 48x48 square. All the plates are raised by 2 bricks, then grey plate. There are connect spots in the center of all 4 sides, with an access hatch in the center to allow pulling wires and connecting.

Anyways, enjoy,

Graham

Your 4x4 flooring is begging to have a game of Space-Quest played on it...
