Two new exclusive sets from S@H.

10182 Cafe Corner

K10183 Hobby Train

If you have $1200.00 lying around, here is what you can build with six 10182 kits: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2368070

Ugh, these two sets are due to bankrupt me.

The hotel/cafe sure looks like it would be interesting to build. Quite a stretch from the regular lego models.

I can take financial consolation in my not wanting to buy the new Millenium Falcon though, or wondering where to display it.

Cheers

Hi all!
The Cafe is actually $30 cheaper in the US when you work out the exchange, so I'm definitely going to get mine down there. Also, for those of you going to Brickfest PDX, there's no sales tax in Oregon: And AFOL's are likely to get a LEGO Store discount. I just hope there's some left!

Maybe they'll have the hobby train down there too - that should be a savings of about $30 Cdn as well with just the exchange rate, not to mention taxes.

See you there!!

Ah, but it would be by opening up all the boxes and taking all the pieces out of their plastic bags and dumping them into a old cardboard box and say you bought them at a yard sale for 50.00.

who.

Because that would be ethical. Don't you think local toy stores have a hard enough time competing with the American market without us resorting to smuggling?

Correct me if I am mistaken;

But aren't these sets ONLY available on Shop at Home and Lego Stores (none of which exist outside of Ontario).

So you're really not affecting your family owned, corner store Walmart then, are you? :)

It's still smuggling, and it is still illegal. Mind you, so is speeding and everybody does it right? So we may as well just do it too.

Play nice now. If you want to save some money and you know someone in Oregon there is no tax down there. Also, Oregon is a great place to visit and if you stay long enough you save on duty. There is a Lego Store in the Portland area. Probable not worth the gas or hotel stay if you were just going for the Lego.
