SQL Errors with the Forums? - Please read!

Hello, some of you have noticed that every once and a while when the forums are running slow that you get SQL errors like the one below.

Could not connect to the database 

This is because the ISP that hosts the VLC site is not the same ISP that hosts the database. The vlc.ca ISP has degraded over recent months and the vlc.ca domain WILL be moving to the ISP where the database's are stored.

If you get the SQL db not found error all is not lost. Simply hit REFRESH or RELOAD and it will carry on as it did before the error.

Update:

The ISP did some upgrading and seems to have improved the connection speed to the server. This should hopefully lessen the chances of the evil SQL error from appearing...
