The randomness/wackiness of these sets reminds me of the Time Cruisers theme LEGO had back in the late 90s... :)

I was totally going to write the same thing, but I think the piece counts are higher here. For Time Cruisers, it was like let's round up all the stupid pieces we have excess of and make a theme.

The last reveled set looks like a modified version of a Ice Cream truck they have yet to reveal? (It's still under a sheet on the site)

The best things about these sets is that they have terrified faces. :D

The sets are now available at shop at home.
There are some neat looking options. I like the double build sets.
There are some cool minifig elements coming out:
A mustache attachment
A hoodie piece
modern police body armour (as seen in link below)
to name a few.

Check out the fig torsos in this set. I know at least one member in our club will appreciate the Fabuland one.

oh and the transparent minifig stands are cool. (from toy story army men)

The Fabuland T shirt is very cool! Too bad you have to buy the large set to get it.

I picked up the Cloud Cuckoo Palace set and a few minifigs today.

Paul were those minifigs from the Lego Store?

I went to TRUs today and they had some of the Lego Movie sets but no minifigs.

The LEGO Movie Minifigs are in LBR store. Nikki at Oakridge says they've gone through about 8 boxes so far.

It should be a standard 60 count. The 30 count boxes are for smaller countries. What the distribution is, I don't know. But I'd reckon it'll be on Eurobricks soon (or already).

Wow a reprint on classic space logos! Cool.

I love the dartboards on the wings of the Creative Ambush. Nice part!

Also had the same thought about Time Twister sets. Also seems a little odd that they would release the sets so long before the movie comes out. And given the number of sets and the wide range of themes, the movie must be pretty nuts, or about time travel or…? I am scared LEGO is going to dig itself into a an awkward hole, but still hopeful that the movie will be great.

I believe that the movie takes place in the "Lego world" where all these themes exist and the quirky odd builds are due to Master Builders in the "Lego world" building things to battle the evil Lord Business and his plans to change the world as they know it. :D

Metal Beards Sea Cow:

This set will be available for purchase on February 17th at the LEGO Store for VIP members. Pricing information is not available yet but it should be between $200 and $250 (These are USA prices, so probably around $299 CDN).
