420

Post by JamesH »

Short version of a long story. There was a discussion/argument at work where the term '420' came from ... it lead to some googling which lead to this:

http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=420-1

Given the age of the set I'm sure there's no official connection, but a funny coincidence...

I had that set as well, which I think is what made it extra funny for me.

Maybe I'll dig out the parts this weekend and build it.

I do believe (as it was told to me) it has to do with a 9-5 work day and some employees would take their last break of the day at 4:20 and well smoke up. The last portion of the day would be less than productive.

Lol.

That 420 set is great, and I love that it's one of the few sets that uses a 90° wedged plate connection.
