Parody image of the new Comic...

Post by TFM »

Since no one commented on my other post.

As some of you may know LEGO is putting out a AFOL comic and giving the boxes away at BrickFest DC. It would appear that if you are not going to brickfest you are SOL... Go LEGO...

Anyway, in the spirit of parody I did the following. Enjoy...

Strange the total lack of comments on my parody...

But I just wanted to say that I've been getting quite a few very positive emails over my graphic. It also seems to have been a part to setting off a few rants of people for "Enough" type posts... :P

Some of them email praises have been from Big Name Fans.

So it's getting it's point across...

Some of you may not know that the first version of that comic had comics about the colour change. But they disappeared in the final version...

It's funnier if you compare the two comics side by side! :rotflol:

Yeah at first, people weren't quite pleased with your parody. But that's always the case: you'll get your supporters, and you'll get your pissy ones as well.

I haven't read the final version of the AFOL comic so I didn't know they took out the parts about the colour change. But given the purpose of the comic, I guess it makes sense...

Nice work on the parody, Dean, especially on the minifig heads. As to the colour change? I'm over it. Moving on. I've also heard there may be a second comic forthcoming, that will include the colour change comics, and more.

Overall, I think the (real) comic is awesome! I loved the preview, and I love this one. It's very cute, clever, and it's an awesome tool to give non-AFOLs a hint of what we're like.

Yes, this first batch of comics is being introduced at BrickFest only. That's a perk of going to the fest. But, there's no question that the comics will be available for everyone in the community very shortly.
