Wow awesome you spotted the UCS R2-D2! Was looking for pics of it last few days heh!! It looks decent

Haunted Mansion looks niceeee... although it has me very puzzled what it's for ?? Since I just saw the Vampire Castle thing for Monster Fighters, and its not anywhere that bulked up.. Hmmm

The blonde chick presenting Town Hall is so cute, I love her pointy nose and wide open eyes. No idea about her voice lol. Town Hall looks very nice, I sorta skipped over some details since I wanted to discover them myself as Im building it.

$250.. crikey.. well hopefully I'm getting it at 30% off when the time comes! :)

I found some information about the UCS R2-D2, set number 10225 release in March 2012 as well, 2127 pieces and the same price tag as the town hall.

the haunted mansion is set number 10228, a online LEGO reseller in the netherlands has it on their website with no information available, coming soon?

Im in Bricklink Chatroom, someone says EuroBricks has it rumored the Haunted Mansion is a Creator House? Hmm..

Hopefully someone can find the pictures again, the video has been removed, probably to cut out the pictures of the R2-D2 and the Haunted Mansion. I think they shoot all the video at one time and they were off to the side awaiting the video spotlight.

I do not think the haunted mansion will be a creator set, most of the 5 digit numbered sets are LEGO exclusives or certain store exclusives, I believe this years LOTR Orc Forge set is only available at LEGO Stores, LEGO shop at home, or at Target.

Her name is Astrid which obviously you didn't hear. Her voice is heavily accented. She said she was an architect before coming to work at Lego.

p.s. Daveed, is this what you mean by me being able to derail any thread topic? rotflol

I think it would make the most sense if the Haunted Mansion is part of the new monsters line. maybe a Halloween release.
similar speculation on EB.

Man thats funny this morning I was thinking "I *SHOULD* Screen Cap those two models!!" then just linked the video instead to my friends hah

Aha Brian- I agree with the Haunted Mansion being a 5-digit numbered set, its 1 of the exclusives or special sets available online or at LEGO stores only. I was more speculating under what cagetory would they put it under? I dont think it would be a Modular.. so Im leaning towards Creator, they did release a couple pretty fancy ones a few years ago?

Also I am hesistant to think itd be part of Monster Fighters since they already have a Vampire Castle for that. And this mystery haunted mansion looks more geared for the AFOL

Thanks chump, I also had BBCode disabled so trying to preview didn't work for me.

The set looks great, but $250 is quite steep. Going to buy this modular in the US. And yes, Astird is beautiful. I would not mind having her as a wife/girlfriend. :D

Yay cute Astrid is back! :D ;)

All the minifigs' heads are the simple LEGO smile face.. has this been the case for all modular sets? I dont mind it- kinda a nice touch :)

Yes, every minifigure in the modular building series has the classic smiley face.

Looking forward to this set.. I am just starting out on buying this series. Gotta a bit of catching up to do lol.

The haunted mansion does look pretty cool.. I have not heard much about it.. only on here. It does not appear in any of the Toy Fair videos that I have looked at. If it is coming this year... I may consider picking it up so my monster minifigures have a place to hang out in.

Lego just needs to make the True Blood LEGO® and we are all set.. they could call it True Brick lol.. kidding of course.. oh or a Norman Brick to live in the haunted Mansion.

It's now available on shop.lego.com! You might want to buy it from the US though as it's $50 less than buying it here. shake
