omg, that is one of the most insane things I have ever seen. XD That is exactly why I am glad I tried to stay away from mechanized lego stuff~! XD Can you imaging the amount of prep time and set up that required?? XD

Wow, that was crazy! Thanks for the link JS.

Makes me think we really need to get more automation on our layouts.

Yes, it seems since my departure from any practical use in layouts, we have not had much in the way of automation.

That was mental. I love the idea that he's just been adding modules to the layout as he has time to create them. If memory serves, I thought I saw a very early version of this years ago on YouTube. Could have been a different person though.

But this is massively impressive.

Thanks for the link.

Nice.

More automation in our layouts would be great. Seeing as I only have one motor out side of my train motors I would not be much help in that area.

It would be fun if we all built a module during the summer and brought it to our Sept meeting, lined them up and watch it go and film it.
each module would need a place to catch the balls from the previous module and an adjustable method to deliver the balls to the next module.
Everything in between would up to the ambition, pieces, and expertise to each person.
Hey lets make this into a competition! anyone interested?

I take exception with the title. Perhaps, it's the most amazing Lego Contraption that you have ever seen.

The following somewhat NSFW video rant explains what is.

My apologies for off-topicing another thread. Its just I was watching Coupling (UK) last night which is a hilarious tv BritCom and definitely recommended.

The most amazing thing chump has ever seen is a naked bottom? Gee I see that in the mirror every time I go take a shower.

A naked bottom, maybe not.

Angelina Jolie's naked bottom. Yum.

Gumby's naked bottom. I'm going to hazard a guess without visualizing it and say, yeah.... not so much.

But enough off-topic, back to talking about moving balls.

If you groaned at that, then don't read further.

I'm visualizing Gumby's bottom and it's green......... and very flat.

-face palm- If you like, I can open up a new thread for this discussion of yours. shake

ETA: If you read the title, and then go strait to the recent discussion, it gives a wrong (very wrong) impression.

Had your subject line been more specific to begin with, it actually wouldn't have been derailed. I actually waited quite awhile to post my off topic so that the thread would run it's natural course. So rather than try to get this one back on topic, as my off topic as a stand alone would not exist without yours, I think it would be best to start another thread to discuss the ball contraption module event as mentioned by Soundwave and go with that.
