Re: Vancouver LEGO store
That was me Pierre. We got there at 8:15 and got in around 11:00. The line up to pay was about 30 minutes so one of us lined up while the other shopped. I got the Lego store, R2 duplicate block and the free droid mini fig. Then we left the mall and went to get some free comic books. It was a good day.chump wrote:Hi Lawrry, welcome to the boards. A number of the VLC members were helping out with the event today but I did see one of our members in line today.lawrry wrote:Hi I am a newbie here...wondering how many of you venture out to the store this morning. I got there at 730am and there were 60 ahead of me. By the time I left at 1020am the lineup was all the way to Scotia Bank! It was insane.

Scooz604, yeah, I know, I was just too lazy to look up your screen name on my mobile. What was the R2 duplicate block?

Not nearly as busy as yesterday. There were still some mini fig give aways at closing time.
Re: Vancouver LEGO store
Oh so no tantrums like yesterday when the last of the sets were gone?

No but I had a kid swear at me at the build. I was refilling one of the bins and went to grab it. The kids said, "I'm not F%#£ing done with that." i pretended not to hear him and I took it anyways.

Re: Vancouver LEGO store
One of the kids at the start on Friday was waiting in line for the build, when someone (I think Peter) offered him a Tips and Tricks Card he exclaimed "I know LEGO inside and out". He wound up at my table and I showed him the instruction card, he muttered the same thing. When he was done his brick was two studs too long, his mom pointed it out to him and they placed it on the card to measure. He started dismantling it but still didn't care about following the plan on the cardScooz604 wrote:No but I had a kid swear at me at the build. I was refilling one of the bins and went to grab it. Re: Vancouver LEGO store
You mean the Monthly Model Build? Well it is recommended for kids ages 6-14. I have a few more months until I turn 15. But you can probably say to them you want to bring one of these models home to your nephw or something.darthchilli wrote:Is that flower set thingy kids only?

Re: Vancouver LEGO store
It looks like they sell the monthly build too for $10.99 for those that missed out or are adults. I saw some at the end of the PaB counter.

The brick with the R2-D2 on it was given away with a purchase in the store. I got one.
I own a bit of Lego. A little obsessive by some peoples standards.

Re: Vancouver LEGO store
Anyone able to get the Marvel Avengers movie poster the the LEGO Store?
Re: Vancouver LEGO store
Hmm... I was under the assumption that the Lego Avengers Poster was available at certain theatres on opening weekend. I don't believe that was available in the lego store. Would have been cool to get it though.
