Their PAB wall has a lot of duplicate selections of basic brick, I hope they have more to choose from in May.

Yeah it's a pretty weak looking wall. The stuff that is there now is the stuff Lego sent them. They have to order all the specialty pieces separately

What, it had a soft open? Man I wanna go noooooow! xD

Oh well, I'm working full time until the end of the month anyways so I can't come down any sooner, maybe I'll tweak my days off a bit so I can check out the PaB wall a day before the grand opening when it'll be a mad house.....

Checked out the Lego store with my wife and 4 month old Zoey Friday morning and they certainly have their share of curious onlookers and shoppers. I walked away empty handed since I didn't have the time to pack away a PAB cup but I did see an experienced Lego packer (Allan Corbeil?) explaining his technique to a couple of ladies while packing his cup. I'll wait until the grand opening to pickup Friends Olivia's House #3315 for my other daughter and maybe I'll be able to get one of those mini Lego store promo sets too.

He does tend to brag about that, yes. ;)

Belinda is such a sweetheart, she gave my son a Lego Superman Key chain for his birthday. :) Elaine and I took my youngest there today for his birthday. Sooo many happy kids and sticker shocked adults. XD I wore my Lego Name badge, too. I had a staffy asking me about the club, too.

Went to the store today and didn't see any of you guys in there. To be honest, the store was quite small and crowded and the PAB is really lame. I hope they get more unique parts in the near future. Came home empty-handed.

We'll be out in force for the Grand Opening, most of us checked it out on Friday and Saturday. The elements for PAB they have now were sent by LEGO. The store will get to choose the elements when their manager is finished training.

We were not there on an official capacity, just shoppers like everyone else showing up to support our favourite toy.

So I get the PaB wall is currently Stocked with 'basic' elements, but how large is it? IE how many bins?

Or really just for the shop overall how big is it compared to the Seattle shop? It's the only LEGO store I've been to! D:

It's very similar in size and layout to the Bellevue store. And yes they did have some staff come up from the WA stores to help with the opening and training.

It's official, the grand opening ceremony is on May 4-6 and the free gifts are almost identical to the other grand opening stores with the exception of the t-shirt. Also, Help a real LEGO Master Builder construct an 8 foot tall model of R2-D2™ completely out of LEGO bricks during our 3-day grand opening celebration weekend! You'll receive a free Certificate of Achievement for helping!

I love the t-shirt, I think it fits well with Vancouver or BC in general. Does anyone know if the t-shirts are available in different sizes? Preferably a medium or large. :-) And is Robin Sather going to be the one helping out with the R2-D2 build?
