Lego Watches

Post by chump »

I was watching the news a couple weeks back and they were interviewing a small independent toy store (I think it was Kaboodles) and they were talking about the Lego Watches. She said that they were flying off the shelves and that they can't get enough of them and that they had already sold 2000 of them. Mainly the Star Wars ones. Wow!

I think they come with a fig. The ring that goes around the face of the watch is a cool element. I'm not sure what I would use it for, but it is cool. :D

I just didn't think a small independent store sold 2000 of anything.

Kaboodles is a pretty cool store(s). I believe they actually have 3 locations (1 in Granville Island, 1 on W.10th, and 1 on the Island). 2,000 is still a staggering number but given the number of shops and their prime locations, they have the ability to move quite a bit of product!

TRU has or had them but kept them in with the electronics. Maybe people did not know they were there. :D

Ya but the figs in the packs suck. They are not normal, but some kind of super cheap figs. the colours are off and the molding even seems different.

I take that back. My son got one in his stocking and the fig is as good as they come. You would not be able to tell the fig from one in a set. :D

Was it Star Wars? Those are the ones I looked at and was surprised at how horrid the fig was.

Yes it was. The colours were white and black so it is kind of hard to go wrong with those two.
