I wasn't going to at first but it's a lot simpler than navigating through Safari. Although you still have to if you read the forums.

Ah yes this coming from one of my original trio who we were going to buy a series one box together until it got released and then it was ever AFOL for themselves! ETA (insert smiley face here) In that case it made sense to break the pact but if beetheads bricklink prices are correct then I'm willing to go in once someone shows the distribution count per box.

Meh, I'm sure the guys that have Sealed boxes online have connections to get them from distributors. I'll keep a look out next week for them while I'm in the states. We had a pact!!

It'll be interesting to see just how easy it is to tell the different figs apart.

All I want is one complete set and not have to pay stupidly high prices to get them.

The raised dots will probably be easier than the barcodes.

I am only in on a pact if I am getting a complete set. As far as I have seen you may only get two sets per box at $190 for the 60 figs. If we were to buy a # of boxes and someone in the pact did not get a set the whole group would need to share in the task and expense of making sure they got the fig or figs they missed out on. My two cents.

Well we could prolly order two boxes. Get two fishermen separately and thats 6 sets as I imagine people wont be buying those in extreme quantities. Extras could be sold off to cover the cost of the fisherman. I forget what how much each box shipped was $90 ? That's $30 each person for 6 sets with extras to part off. If the cases are even $120 each that works out to $40 each. A set at walmart is $47.30 plus gas and the agony of looking at dots for at least 45 minutes.

I question the case allotment. As far as I can tell this is the result of a single case?
I would like to see a few other people post thier case results.

$90.00 or $120.00 for a box including shipping when they are around $190.00 in Canada. Can someone confirm this. $1.50 per fig is a almost theft. :D

Who all is in this pact that I have a difficult time remembering making. As for selling the extras off I want extras so why would we sell them off. If someone does not want extras then they can be bought out buy those who do.

I agree with Shane. It's weird that there were only 2 Fisherman. Why would LEGo break the parern now, of having at least 3 of each.

Anyway, I want 2 or 3 sets and I really don't care if I get any Fisherman. It's really not a fig I am super excited about.

As for prices, the guy I ordered from before had a whole online toy store.
http://www.morelega.cz/
http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=morelega

and he has 9 cases of series 2 left, out of hundreds that he started with. So he must have ordered them at whosale price, becaue he is still selling them for $E100/case.

Anyway, I am in for a whole case, or two sets out of a case. I would love to see us do a figure draft with all the 4th and 5th figs from each box, and maybe the people taking the hit on the Fisherman could get an extra pick or something. And again, I really don't don't care about the fisherman and I don't think that others will either, especially if they get an extra pick in the draft, to get something good that they want more. Hell, we may end up with no one taking any Fisherman cause everyone wants that extra first pick caue they want a second Monkey.

I paid $150 for my case of Series 2 from Korea, $20 of which was shipping.

I later Paid $160 for a case of series 1 (which were nearly all gone) from the Czech, $20 of which was for shipping.

Ultimately the US price is a little better, but US stores are not getting that much more distrobution than we are. Not compared to the Czech anyway, where an indi seller can get hundreds of cases for his on-line store.

We can hunt for US boxes and the cheaper price for a while, and then order from Europe if it doesn't pan out.

I was on my phone and was looking up what david had previously quoted for Series 2. An estimate of $120-$140 per case + shipping of $15 is going to be more accurate. At that figure you're still lower at Walmart Prices, without gas and time considered and that's for 20 figs not just a set of 16. The Fred Meyer case right now is $220 with a couple more days to go. If we believe that Series 3 was a bigger production run and going to be more widely distributed, hopefully the cases will be on the lower side of that figure.

When I said "pact" it was just a Seinfeld expression rotflol . I do recall most people saying the effort they went through with Series 1 and 2 was not worth it and I am definatley in that mind. I'm bitter because I went to all 3 Walmarts in the City of Surrey on the Tuesday they came out and two of them had no sign of them. If I do come across them in stores at least in the back of my mind I know I have one complete set on the way and can just buy the extras I want, and not drive halfway across the Greater Vancouver at 7 AM crossing my fingers for 1 ape. When I said sell of extras I meant to those involved who want more than a complete set, but a Fig draft sounds even more fun.

Now we know that you can still figure out the figure without the bar code, I think buying a case is less important than before.

If the distribution is going to be more than series two, it shouldn't be too hard to find them. It just comes down to patience and as Tim said, gas $.

If the price is cheaper to buy them online I'm still up for that. I'd still probably get a case.

Totally bummed that my apocalyptic fish vs the fisherman layout is probably not going to happen now. It would have been best in show 2011 for sure. Thanks Lego. NOT

Anyone on the hunt for series 3 in Bellingham will be out of luck. They have series 2 out at both stores 2 boxes worth. I didnt check for Spartans as I had no cheat sheet with me and didn't have much time to look. The south location looked a little less picked over.

Shane, the price sticker said series 3 for $2.99. This was at Bellingham so I think 2 would scan in for the same. I paid the same at Burlington for series 3.

Series 3 has been spotted at US TRU's in the Mid West and East. Priced initially at $2.99 they've been bumped up to $3.99 at most TRUs.
