Re: Join the "Pimp my Camper!" Contest on eurobricks.com

Very cool Tyler.

Do you think you could make a version of your space camper that matches the color scheme of the official lego VW camper? Red on the bottom, black stripe, white on top and the orange canopy?

Re: Rollercoaster Factory

We've got this set, it's actually pretty neat and resonable value (but obviously poor quality compared to Lego): http://www.knex.com/building_toys/vertical_viper.php While looking for the above link, I see they have a bunch of other larger coasters too. I wondered about modifying it for use with Leg...

Cool, thanks Pierre. Do you have a link to any more photos of those 2?

I posted this in another topic a while ago:

Does this justify wanting 'virgin' lego when drafting?

I had that set as well, which I think is what made it extra funny for me.

Maybe I'll dig out the parts this weekend and build it.

420

Short version of a long story. There was a discussion/argument at work where the term '420' came from ... it lead to some googling which lead to this:

http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=420-1

Given the age of the set I'm sure there's no official connection, but a funny coincidence...

He also did the rendering at the top of this thread (which eventually lead to the minecraft set): http://www.VLC.ca/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2610 And perhaps his most viewed rendering of all is the logo at the top of this page :) http://VLC.ca/wp-content/themes/vlc-twentytwelve/images/headers/VLC....

So did anyone get lego under the tree I gave my wife the suggestion that the kids might enjoy filling up a pick-a-brick cup for me. I couldn't help but smile when I got a bunch of really poorly packed yellow 2x4's and other random pieces I would never have picked :) . They were really excited to gi...

Re: Harry Potter Lego

Just a heads up that Diagon Alley was recently flagged as "Retiring Soon" on the Lego web site. I'm not sure how long it takes for a set to 'retire', maybe it just means they aren't producing them any more and are just selling what they have in stock?

X-mas suggestions

So, my son ( just turning 8 ) thinks he wants the Mindstorms set for Christmas. I think he would enjoy it (and who's kidding who, so would I :) ), but it's definite pricy. Is the best place to get it a US lego store? The other thing we might be able to substitute would be a lego remote controlled ca...

Is there some setting on the forum that prevents you from being logged in using multiple IPs? I have a load balancing router that switches between Shaw and Telus so my IP can change on the fly. I'm assuming this is why I'm having problems with getting logged out all the time (makes it challenging to...

Hey Keith, I don't actually have any of those 'timing gears' so I can't say for sure, but to me it looks like it's a set of those timing gears with a 'bar 4L' stuck between each tooth. You'll notice in the 2 photos you commented on they pillars are either 4 or 8 high. http://www.bricklink.com/catalo...

Maybe someone with a flickr account could send a message to this guy to add the Vancouver store. Then using this site might be the easeist way to keep an up-to-date inventory?

So while the modulars might be acceptably wide (in some cases) they aren't deep enough. So I'm expanding them by stretching them... I realize this isn't quite what you're working on but it might be inspiring.. http://www.3xgyro.com/GEplus/GEplus_8_Teardown1.jpg More here: http://brikkelauget.no/dis...

Perhaps the humour is a bit black, but I love the way you changed the pet shop into a 'Meat' shop. Did you change the interior as well or are all the pets still inside?
