Okay, I know what LEGO brand purists will say, but what about the rest of you?

Thoughts on this?

Re: Vintage Lego for Sale

It looks like you have quite an impressively maintained (many complete) collection from the 70s. You can get a good sense of what individual used vintage sets can sell for by looking them up on BrickLink www.bricklink.com While you'd earn the most money selling them individually, obviously that will...

Cool.
I know the managers were all at a convention a couple weeks ago so the timing would support this being a real award.

While not a size you specified, I believe the PAB wall at Oakridge had 4x4 plates (or was it 4x6) last weekend.

Sorting a big haul takes a long time. I too have been discovering that lately (it's taking a lot longer than I'd expected).

Re: Heavy Haul Train on Sale! (Red Locomotive)

The cargo train set is older than the heavy haul set. Age of the set doesn't really mean anything either, as some sets, such 9465 The Zombies go out of production after 4 months, and some such as 6212 X-wing Fighter stay in production for over 4 years! True that. Popular sets outlast. That's the re...

Re: Heavy Haul Train on Sale! (Red Locomotive)

There is a rumour of a Christmas Train this year. That would be awesome. But as for the sale, sale prices on shop.lego.com don't always mean the set is about to retire. Sometimes they just have too much stock in the warehouse. (I've seen sets go on sale 'then back to regular price a few weeks later...

Another fun whimsical SW Friends build. I'm assuming that one engine is grey on purpose and that you didn't just run out of white? I asked Tyler about that too. The rear of that one engine is also silver instead of pink. It's intended to represent a replacement engine. (This ship might look pretty ...

If you're willing to do post-processing, you should try shooting in RAW format.
That way you can select your white balance afterwards. :-)
