Re: 2016 sets from Nuremberg

I'm in full agreement here. I just need the time and the money to make it happen. I am familiar with the technology and some manufacturers if anyone is feeling ambitious. At the train show this year, we were discussing some potential material handling layout options that could work well for display...

Re: 2016 sets from Nuremberg

While the Bucket Wheel Excavator has my undivided attention for this year, THIS: https://youtu.be/Pl0trfExCbg MUST GET BUILT OUT OF LEGO!!!

I think the new BWE will contribute parts nicely to something like this!

Re: 2016 sets from Nuremberg

Why do they have to come out with this now? My pocket book will hurt this year. MIght need 2 of these... one for the bucket wheel loader, and then a second for parts to make a train unloader! Which will filter back to the bucket wheel loader... a nice tight loop! Oh gosh.... what's happening.... I ...

A lot of really fabulous looking sets for 2016. I'm sure many of you Technic fans will be drooling over the Bucket excavator. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vulXB0TylBg OH MAN!!!! Been thinking of building one of these, but this looks AWESOME! The "hailfire droid" type gear wheels will be a hit! E...

Re: Lego Oakridge Pick A Brick wall updates

Yeah, they said what is on the wall is all they have right now and their order was a little delayed. So it looks like that is all until their next expected order which is Tuesday (according to the perveyor or Lego I spoke with).

Only the plane was on the pick-a-model display.

Re: Waterfront Station

Are you planning on doing an interior? Now that would be really cool and take it to the next level. Totally the plan for this one. I want to try and build an "exo-suit" of the bagpipe player. If you've ever been down there when he's playing you'd understand. It impressive and NEEDS to be built into...

Re: Waterfront Station

In the case of a project like this I know I need LOTS of certain parts but I try to order what I need both to not blow too much cash on parts I don't currently need and also to not underestimate what I do need. It's a tricky balance.

Waterfront Station

This is getting built slowly in conjunction with the building of the Burrard Bridge. So far the initial digital version is taking shape. I plan to have the full front face with stepping down sidewalls so you can see inside, all the action and hustle and bustle that makes Waterfront such an great pla...

Re: Best place to shop?

Welcome back from your dark ages of Lego (we almost have all gone through it). Unfortunately in my experience when it comes to pricing, the big box stores tend to price across their store chain, so no one Walmart would be better than another in that regard, or Toys R Us (TRU). We also watch London D...

FIX: Pictures posting upside down from mobile device

So, I finally found the issue as to why pictures post upside-down: When you take a photo with a device like an iPhone it doesn't seem to properly insert the rotation metadata in the image. To fix this, before posting a photo do the following: On an iPhone: 1 - Go to Photos and pull up the picture yo...

Imagine next year's Train Expo setup, with one at each switch and one on each train! Complete control from a single tablet device. wow Who's got the winning lotto ticket? *edit* - I guess they aren't as practical on 9V trains (considering the power's in the track) :? Why not draw power from 9V trac...

Yup. I didn't want to go overboard. I don't have loads of PF I'm working with and each brick has 4 outputs instead of Lego's 2.
