Re: LF: Specific Lego Pieces

Although it takes a bit more work you can embed photos of the pieces or provide links to the pieces, as some of these I'm really not sure what piece you're looking for. But probably better is.... are you aware of Bricks & Pieces online which is part of S@H under Missing Parts > Buy Parts. It's got a...

LEGO Life app launch

I know this doesn't apply to many of you, but if you've got kids who are still into LEGO or you just want to putter around and give feedback, please do so here and I will forward it off to Kevin Hinkle to share with the LEGO Life Team. Just keep in mind the target demographic. ------------------ On ...

Re: How much of a LEGO purist are you?

This is just one dude's opinion who made an infographic for fun discussion. So it is by no means definitive. Although Kim at TLG did say he posted it at his office for amusement, so there is a smidgen of legitimacy. :)

Re: How much of a LEGO purist are you?

It looks like I'm a 23. I've hacked pieces before. I needed towball heads for a LEGO mini-chess set pieces designed by TheBrickBlogger. I've also hacked door frames to make a double swing door, so that the centre beam isn't getting in the way when both doors are open. I've erased a moustache off of ...

How much of a LEGO purist are you?

This should be fun. So what's your number? From Mikael at SweBrick: Yep, we all heard it and all seen it, the endless discussion on what's ok and not.. Lately in Sweden the AFOL Facebook page and Swebrick have had it's fair share of the discussion again, with different clone brand elements or entire...

I think it's obvious. Lots and lots of Lego. And suntan lotion, it gets expensive using it all year round.

Welcome Heattransfer or is that Heatransfer? In any case welcome. Get in touch with our membership director about our next meeting, if you're looking to attend. At that time, we can tell you more about our membership process. So what themes interest you most? Or simpler, what do you like to build?

Re: Lego Oakridge Pick A Brick wall updates

The Statue of Liberty pick a model was available only at the New York store. And then shortly after that it became the sand green pieces became the People's choice pick or something like that. I wish that the Monthly Build was the Pick A Model each month, because those have a lot of cool and rare pi...

Re: Holiday Display @ La Fontana Cafe

We should start a thread of Lego found in places you wouldn't expect it. I was at Number 9 restaurant at Landsdowne Mall and I looked up and along the top were big Lego sets built and displayed. I was at an architect firm and in the foyer there was a vase filled with 1x1 lime green round plates.

Re: Lego Oakridge Pick A Brick wall updates

Yup. But those of us who don't make it out to Guildford (or Washington) because they live 5 minutes from Oakridge do appreciate the notification.

Still a long way from being able to build the ghastly Pick A Model version of the mini Statue of Liberty.

Re: Lego Oakridge Pick A Brick wall updates

They have the 6x12 bright green plate on the wall again which I needed and was hoping not to have to drive out to Guildford for. I came home with my large recycle cup and after a quick calculation was going to write that it probably wasn't worth it, but then I compared it to the price on PAB online,...

Re: No Starch Press LEGO eBooks for a bargain (a donation to charity)

$1 million of ebooks sold in 2 weeks. Holy moly. I still prefer the physical books though, as looking at an ebook for photos to me almost feels like looking at a private localized website. At first when there were only a few books it was easy to buy them all (in physical format) but then they kept p...

Paul's Unchain My Heart blogged again

And the Brothers Brick scoreboard needs to be updated once again. True this isn't new, but we didn't seem to have posted it the first time round. I'll get started on posting member MOC's on the front page shortly. http://www.brothers-brick.com/2016/11/09/amazing-motorized-lego-steampunk-sculpture-br...
