Re: New to VLC

Nice to meet you Brandon. Do you have any pictures on flickr? What kind of stuff do you build? I do have a Flickr account , in fact. However, I am not as active and my photographs are usually just random LEGO creations that I build for contests and such. Someday I will be like many people in the LE...

Re: Vancouver LEGO store

Hah not likely! You could probably buy three $35 sets separately for 3 free whatever's. What exclusive figs are we talking about here anyway? The exclusive figs have the LEGO store location printed on the back of the torso and the torso is USUALLY unique to the set. Here is an example of one of the...

Re: Vancouver LEGO store

We should expect a 'soft opening' before the grand opening sometime before April. I am now deciding what I should buy to get the free exclusive minifigure set with a $35+ purchase. I wonder if they'll allow you to get 3 minifigure sets with a $110 purchase.

Re: Vancouver LEGO store

I live in central Richmond, and Oakridge is just about a 10-15 min drive depending on the traffic, so that is not too bad.

Re: Vancouver LEGO store

Now we just need t figure out the opening date. Couldn't help but notice that there is not even a "coming soon to Vancouver" in the last catalogue in the stores section. Just Calgary and. TORONTO. .. Although no exact date is given, the Oakridge website listing fro LEGO says 'Spring 2012'. http://w...

Re: Vancouver LEGO store

Oakridge might be a better possibility, it's an in affluent neighbourhood with easy access to parking and Skytrain, and only Zellers there sells LEGO I think, with the nearest TRU on Broadway. If it were out in the burbs some other locations suggested are: Metrotown: There's already a TRU and Zelle...

Re: Vancouver LEGO store

Richmond would be a great choice, mainly because I am located in that area. It's in New Westminster. PM me if you want more info and meet the requirements listed above. Would love to get more details, but I do not meet the requirements. shake I'm just going to make a guess that this store wi...

Emerald Night

Hello, does anyone know where I can get the Emerald Night online or in-stores other than TRU or Lego Shop. Oh by the way, does any TRU in the lower mainland carry the Emerald Night in-store?

Finally, we can have somewhat similar prices to the US. Tired of the $20+ markups in Canada.

$100 is a little too steep for mostly 1x1 plates and tiles, but the buildings look fantastic.
