Re: looking for parts for a moc

I think the legostore might still have pick a brick boxes that you can fill yourself for under $100. You'd have to ask for it. They don't display or advertise it. You can just build the 2x4 bricks to fit the dimensions of the box to maximize value.

I can confirm some of the observations that people posted.

This was an awesome display outside the San Diego Comic Con. I didn't see it until Sunday evening when the convention was over.

Re: TMNT

Wow. I mean this is awesome. Except for, you know, the fact that it is really ugly. The minifigs are really great though! And I can't hate all the olive green parts. Where is the April O'Neil minifig? Is this like a nickelodeon thing to make hideous LEGO sets? I think we all remember the avatar set...

Re: SDCC 2012 Exclusive?

The Lego booth was pretty crazy each day, but sooo worth it. I got my Darth Maul tin on preview night, Bilbo Baggins on Thursday, all 4 Super Heroes on Friday and the Batman signed print as well as some of the Star Wars summer sets from the store. Great score. Did you see Gene Simmons at the booth ...

Re: SDCC 2012 Exclusive?

Shazam minifig was given out tonight. They supposedly have a bizarro and a couple others although I didn't see them. There's an exclusive 80 piece Darth Maul speeder set for $40. The darth maul minifig is suppose to be exclusive. It comes in a tin can instead of a box. There are a few new Star Wars ...

No but I had a kid swear at me at the build. I was refilling one of the bins and went to grab it. The kids said, "I'm not F%#£ing done with that." i pretended not to hear him and I took it anyways.

By the time I left at 1020am the lineup was all the way to Scotia Bank! It was insane. Hi Lawrry, welcome to the boards. A number of the VLC members w...

The NYC Pab is huge but not that much better than Oakridge. I was at the NYC yesterday and they ran out of large cups. They had loaner cups to fill but they dumped you pieces into a bag at the till. Not a satisfying trip to that store. I still bought 2 large cups worth. They also had grab bags of ra...
