Re: BrickCan AFOL Newbie - Any tips?

Pierre - You forgot to mention BrickCan 101 aka BrickCan Intro ! It's a great introduction to what to expect. Thursday at 5:30. I’d recommend it, if the guy running it wasn’t such a doofus. Oh wait.... Josh might have picked up on your humour Pierre, but then again maybe not. Is it published ...

Good job good buddy!

See y'all tonight!

Did you have to link your LEGO account to the Rebrick site, or are you saying you didn't have your own LEGO account yet?

While a lack of room to display means I'm in no rush to find one, I would really like to have a UCS Imperial Shuttle one day.

Re: Lego Bar Event

I've seen that picture used all over the internet for different things too (I think MiLUG uses it as the image on their meeting events pages on Facebook). So in addition to illegally using the LEGO name, he's also stealing images without giving credit... Good point. MILUG does use that for their me...

Re: Lego Bar Event

Since drinking is involved, shall we one-up it with gambling?

Now that the page is being covered by news and social media sites everywhere, anyone want to place bets on how quickly the site will get shut down with a cease and desist order from LEGO's legal team? shake

I bought the Star Wars UCS TIE Fighter 75095 for only $166. https://www.amazon.ca/LEGO-Star-Wars-Fighter-75095/dp/B00X3301HI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1513754639&sr=8-1&keywords=Star+Wars+TIE+Fighter+75095 + 10% off if you use prime. I assume Clay has Prime and meant $166 AFTER tax. ('Caus...

Acetone and LEGO don't mix (obviously)

To state the obvious, don't let acetone get near your LEGO collection. However, if you're curious about whether there's a visible difference between genuine LEGO plastic and that of counterfit producer LEPIN, skip doing your own test and just watch what someone else has already done. https://youtu.b...

We'd previously discussed being careful to make sure what appears as the title for calendar events (in the calendar header banner right below the VLC image) so as not to give anything away to non-members, but after reading John's comment I just gave it a test (logging out) and discovered that the ca...

Furthermore, because it's a handpicked favourite at the store you'll receive an extra 15% off when you use the code PICKED15 at the checkout. I'd really like to get my hands on one of these at a decent price. Perhaps we could order a few together and try to save even more on shipping? Unfortunately...

Ultimate Star Wars Book

I almost ignored this deal because The Book People is a UK company (thinking shipping to Canada wouldn't be worth it), but their current 9.99 GBP sale price on a brand new DK book called the Ultimate Star Wars Book is so good that even after shipping to Canada (a mere 5 GBP) it comes to just 14.99 G...

Classic TV Series Batcave - clearance deal

If anyone was on the fence about this set, this may be the last chance to get it. And if you have one, this might make you wish you waited, or might make you consider getting a second one. The set has been marked as "retiring soon" for quite some time now, but LEGO has just increased the s...

I saw them in the Build a Figure station at one of the LEGO Brand Retail Store recently so you might want to try calling them - I think it was the Guildford one ('though maybe it was Oakridge).
