Trade New 10222 for Used 10251
So, I was lucky enough to win a sealed 10222 - Winter Village Post Office - in the Child's Play draw at BrickCon. Sweet! I already have this set, but I recently discovered that I never bought a 10251 - Brick Bank Modular (I have all the rest). I'd be willing to swap my new 10222 for your used, but (...

Which is why we like it when Jamie designs these sets!! (He wasn't the designer for the Fire Brigade)Claybricks wrote:With 2469 pieces of amazing detail, it makes a modular like the Fire Brigade look kind of plain. I can't wait for the release in January.

Re: 10243 Parisian Restaurant
Interiors are brilliant. It's fully detailed. Also a full complement of Olive Green 1x brick, new 1x2 and 2x2 bowed slopes (in white and dark blue), a red scooter, white croissants, and much more. A fantastic return to the modulars by Jamie Berard (the set designer, who is back after being involved ...

Re: Racing Devil Toys - Display Opportunities
The store doesn't sell bulk brick. But there is a decent stock and selection of sets, and minifigs. I got my complete set of series 11 from there a couple of weeks ago. What the owner (Carleton) does have, is large display cases where your MOCs could be displayed, if you'd like to have some of your ...

Racing Devil Toys - Display Opportunities
Hi all, I've done some stuff with Carleton, of Racing Devil toys in Richmond. He's got a cool little store in Aberdeen mall, runs building contests for kids in Richmond, has quite a bit of brick (at decent prices!), and is a LEGO fan himself. He's built things and displays them in the big (secure) d...

Re: The Brick Games formerly known as The Vancouver Lego Gam
Hi all, I'm helping out with the organization of the newly renamed "Brick Games" this time round. It's going to be bigger and better this time 'round. I'd love to see some of you guys enter the competition as well! There are going to be lots of prizes. The date is October 26th, from 10 - 5, at the L...

Re: Jobs at new Guildford LEGO store
I wasn't sure where to put it. I'll leave it to you guys to move the post (or repost the info) wherever you see fit. It's on LEGO's job site, as well as on Craigslist even, I believe.
Anyone gonna go?

Re: ToysRUs Concept "Smart Store" Opening in North Vancouver
This is a new concept Toys-R-Us store, called "WonderLab". Basically, it's kind of like each major brand has a "mini" store or section within the overall store. LEGO has a nice section there. I don't know how the selection will compare to a "normal" TRU, but the idea is intriguing. The store has a n...

Re: Alderwood Store Anniversary Event
It's just the details of the actual build (which Master Builder is coming, and what they're building) that are not quite finalized, not the fact that the event is happening. So, it's not a big secret or anything.

Alderwood Store Anniversary Event
Hi guys, Similar to the Oakridge event that I'm sure you're talking about, Erin (manager) at the Alderwood store (north Seattle) has reached out to me looking for help with their event. Dates are June 7-9, 11am - 7pm. She needs 15 people per day for 5-hour shifts - roughly 10-3, and 3-8. Erin's keep...

Re: Aberdeen Mall - LEGO Hong Kong
Hi guys, I'll be building onsite until at least Saturday, the 14th (I have another event on the 15th). I suspect I will not be finished by then, so I'll be back on the 16th. If I'm still not done, I'll be building the rest back in my workshop, and bringing the completed items in for display. The com...

Re: Aberdeen Mall - LEGO Hong Kong
Good to see you today, Bryan! I'm really good with people wanting to buy my stuff, but in those cases, I build them for that purpose. These creations are built to show once or twice, and then be dismantled. They are not bomb-proof, and they're not glued. If I were to sell them, I would redo parts of...

Re: Aberdeen Mall - LEGO Hong Kong
Ya, parking is a pain. Just keep climbing the parkade. The higher you go, the less cars. I do have one all-day pass for someone, and yes, the spot is up on top in the sunshine (P5). That level is all reserved parking. Of course, it's 3 hour free parking in the main parkade - if you can find a spot. ...

Yes, Bryan, it's definitely gonna feel like that! And to Brankell - no, you don't have to be a VLC member. The mosaic building event is a public one, of course, but the landscape and skyscraper building is for builders like you guys. So, VLC forum users are more than welcome. Just make sure to ident...
