Re: On White Whales

For me there are two, the UCS Tie Interceptor 7181 and UCS Xwing 7191 from 2000. I know that I can scoop this up on bricklink or ebay but I wanted to unexpectedly find them at a good price at a con, VV or somewhere else. I also want some of the classic space sets that I had as a child. I still have ...

Re: Non-LEGO bits in MOCs?

Some of the Lego professionals use metal and wood to supply support for their giant MOCs. Even that mega Xwing had metal bars and other materials in it. Some people glue their mocs for extra support too.

Re: Lego Compatible Products

We bought a playmat for my son. I'm not sure if it's the same as the one above but the one we have doesn't hold bricks very well. Too bad it isn't silicone because it would make a good coaster for pots.

The Richmond Bridgeport one didn't have any this afternoon. I didn't scour the entire store though. I was surprised at how busy it was.

Re: How much of a LEGO purist are you?

I don't know what number I should categorize myself in but I'm ok with 3rd party stuff that Lego does not make as long as the quality is good. My only issue pretty much is when 3rd party companies try to copy Lego pieces, minifigures or sets and pass them off as their own. I don't recall purposely s...

These were on sale for 50% off in store a while back. They didn't look like they were flying off the shelves.

Re: 42056 porsche 911 revealed.

At that price, I'd expect a motor or at least lights.... licensing must be a killer on this one! Someone posted that they saw a power function when zooming in certain parts of the photo. If it is fully rc then they might as well have a preauthorized withdrawal from my account. If not I'd probably s...

Re: Minifigs for trade or sell - Vancouver

I have some series 14 that I was going to return at the Legostore unless someone wants them. They are sealed still but I'm only going to bring them for sale at cost to the next meeting.

2 fly guys
2 Banshees
1 plant guy
1 Sasquatch
1 female vampire

Didn't they switch to Octan in the 90's? They had some shell logos in the Ferrari sets in the late 90's. I need to dig out some of those sets. Ahhh I see the partnership. Looks like the collection is available in Brazil, India and South Africa. http://www.shell.com/global/products-services/on-the-ro...
